Please use caution if you are out and about the neighborhood today or tonight. The dropping temperatures, in addition to the high winds and drifting snow, has created slippery conditions around the neighborhood. Ares of exposed pavement may have formed black ice, and may be extremely slippery. Unfortunately, a salt application will be ineffective as the high winds will blow the salt away.
Forecasters are predicting 2″-4″ of snow accumulation tonight, into tomorrow morning. After this snow storm passes, the board will evaluate the snow removal and salting situation. In the event we do not reach the required snow accumulation to trigger a snow removal, the board will look at authorizing a snow removal and salting in advance of the plunging temperatures and dangerous wind chills of next week.
In the meantime, please use caution if you are out and about the neighborhood today and tonight. If any homeowners need service, please contact Vanguard management.
